Georgia A. Stevens, 46
Georgia A. Stevens, age 46, of Lorain, died on Thursday, November 2, 2000 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, following a lengthy illness.She was born on March 27, 1954 in Torrance, California, moving to this area over 35 years ago.
She had attended Brookside High School.
She had worked at Bradley Road Nursing Home as a certified nursing aide, prior to this she had worked at Tavern on the Mall as a waitress. She enjoyed swimming.
She is survived by her sons: David Allen Woods, Jr., and Robert Michael Woods, both of Lorain, daughter: Melinda Jean Woods, of Lorain, 11 grandchildren, brother: John Stevens, of Tampa, FL, and sisters: Barbara Pitts, of Amherst, Wanda Stevens, of Lorain, Theresa Stevens, of Lima, Ohio and Cathy Stevens, of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her parents: William H. Stevens in 1986, and Betty Jean (nee Carson)Stevens in 1989.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 6, 2000 from 7-9 p.m in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be held at 8:30 p.m. Rev. John E. Jeffrey, retired pastor of Freewill Baptist Church, will officiate.
