Alafair Shuster, 80, Miraldi's Cafe Owner
Alafair Mayflower Shuster, (nee Blankenship), 80, of Lorain, died Saturday, November 18, 2000 at Community Health Partners Hospital West, following a long illness.Mrs. Shuster was born December 18, 1919 in Pike County, Kentucky. She resided most of her life in Lorain.
She was the owner operator of the Miraldi's Cafe (now known as the Korner), from 1968 to 1986.
She enjoyed cooking, bingo and helping others.
Survivors include 2 sisters: Pat Willingham of Collins, Ohio and Phoebe Gooslin of Matewan, W. Virginia and Brother, Cloyd Blankenship of Phelps, KY. 8 Grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Richard Howard Shuster, July 29, 2000, son, Grover Moore and a daughter Opal Moore; her parents Byrd and Lena (nee Luster) Blankenship.
Friends may call at the Reidy-Scanlan-Chambers Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway, Lorain on Tuesday, November 21, 2000 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 -7:00 p.m.
Funeral service will be on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home, with the Rev. Chris Hughes, pastor of Tower Baptist Church officiating.
Burial will be at Rest Haven Memory Garden, Avon, Ohio.
