Kathleen "Kay" Dohanos, 77, Enjoyed Tennis

Kathleen " Kay" M. Dohanos (nee Spalter), age 77, of Lorain, died Thursday, December 7, 2000, at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home, Lorain, following a lengthy illness.

Kay was born on May 15, 1923 in Lorain and has been a resident here for her entire life. She was a graduate of Lorain High School in the 1942 B class.

She was a member of St. Ladislaus Catholic Church, a member of the Avon Lake Women's Club, and worked at Aqua Marine, Avon Lake as a receptionist for 18 years, retiring in 1985. Her hobbies included playing tennis and cooking.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Julius; 2 daughters: Debbie Smith (Mike) of Amherst, and Denise Pozniak (Stan) of Lady Lake, FL; 5 grandsons; 2 great-granddaughters, and a sister; Sylvia Terflinger of Lorain.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Joseph Spalter in 1953 and Kathryn (nee Szollozi) Spalter, in 2000.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 11, 2000 from 10 am until time of services at 11 am in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Rt. Rev. Dr. Zoltan Szucs, pastor of the Hungarian Reformed Church, will officiate. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
