Arthur F. Bollmann, 80, Ford Retiree
Arthur F. Bollmann, 80 of Lorain died at Angel's Adult Care in Lorain on Wednesday, December 20, 2000 following a long illness.Mr. Bollmann was born on April 23, 1920 in Buffalo, NY and has lived in Lorain for the last 41 years.
He was a member of ST. John's United Church of Christ in Lorain and was active in the Alter Committee. He was retired from Ford Motor Company-Lorain Assembly as a layout inspector. He was a member of the BeeKeepers, Ford Motor Union 425 and was a former member of the Masonic Lodge in Wilson, NY.
He enjoyed gardening and a challenging repair job.
Mr. Bollmann is survived by his wife: Georgia (nee Plumb) Bollmann to whom he was married on April 9, 1943, his daughter, Susan Wright of Chillicothe, OH, a son, Arthur G. Bollmann of Columbus, OH, 3 grandchildren, brothers: Louis Bollmann, and Norman Bollmann both of Buffalo, NY and sister Pauline Fuller, Arlene Bollmann, Dorothy MacMullin all of Buffalo, NY.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Louis and Frieda (nee Helmle) Bollmann.
Friends may call at Schwartz, Spence & Boyer Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, OH 44052 on Friday, December 22, 2000 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on December 23, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. at Schwartz, Spence & Boyer Home for Funerals in Lorain, OH, with Rev. Sprite Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in the Acacia Park Cemetery in North Tonawanda, NY on Thursday, December 28, 2000 at 2:30 p.m.
