Richard P. Rissman, 91, WW II Veteran
Richard P. Rissmann, 91 of Lorain died on Sunday, December 24, 2000 at Community Health Partners W in Lorain after a long illness.Richard was born on April 23, 1909 in Lorain and was a life long resident. Mr. Rissmann was a graduate of Columbia University, Columbia, NY.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lorain and was a US Airforce veteran serving during WWII. He retired from Dick's TV as a serviceman. He was a member of the American Legion Post#30 and a life member of VFW Post #451.
Mr. Rissmann was a well known local artist and taught art privately.
He is survived by his primary caregiver: Dorothy Grimm of Elyria.
Mr. Rissmann is preceded in death by his parents: Paul and Hennetta (nee Muller) Rissmann and a brother, Carl Rissmann.
Friends may call at Zion Lutheran Church, 5100 Ashland Ave., Lorain on Thursday, December 28, 2000 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
Funeral services will be held on December 28, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 5100 Ashland Ave., Lorain with Rev. Kevin Salyers, pastor officiating.
Richard P. Rissmann will be buried at Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain.
