Lloyd Earl Snyder, 87, Assistant General Yard Master

Lloyd Earl Snyder, age 87, died Monday, December 25, 2000 at Fisher-Titus Hospital, Norwalk, OH, following a one-month illness.

Born September 14, 1913 in Bannon, PA, he lived most of his life in Irwin, PA, also having lived in Coudersport, PA for 6 � years and in Amherst, OH in the 1970's.

Mr. Snyder worked as an assistant general yard master for the Union Railroad in Pittsburg, PA. He enjoyed hunting, auto racing and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his son, Jan Earl Snyder of Coudersport, PA; 2 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Hazel Rike of Pittsburg, PA. He was preceded-in-death by his wife, Alberta (nee Paden) on July 2, 1991; his parents, Christopher and Beatrice Snyder; 4 sisters and 7 brothers.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2000 at the Fickinger Funeral Home 210 N.E. Street, Coudersport, PA. Burial will be in Irwin Union Cemetery, Irwin, PA.
