Helen B. Corkran, 85, Enjoyed Camping

H. Betsy Corkran, 85, of Lorain died on Friday, December 29, 2000 at Community Health Partners and Surgical Center West in Lorain after a brief illness.

Mrs. Corkran was born on June 6, 1915 in Franklin, PA and lived in the Lorain area for the last 48 years.

She was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church.

She was retired from Lorain Products as an assembler in 1977. She was the site manager for Lakeview Plaza for 15 years and retired in 1996.

She enjoyed camping and the outdoors. She was an avid shopper.

Mrs. Corkran is survived by a daughter-in-law, Mary Mackey of Lorain, 5 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Fred Corkran on March 19, 1966 and son Myron Macky on March 21, 1999.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. in the Schwartz, Spence and Boyer Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain. Rev. James McKenzie will officiate. Burial will be in the Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Amherst Township, OH.
