Carl W. Dallas, 64, Army Veteran

Carl W. Dallas, 64, of Elyria, died Wed. January 3, 2001 at EMH Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

Born February 13, 1936 in Elyria, he lived in Elyria his entire life.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1956.

He worked as a custodian for Center Cleaning in North Ridgeville for 13 years retiring in 1999. Prior to that, he worked for Canalos Vending Co. in Lorain as a vending operator.

He was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn J. (nee Nairy), 2 sons, Joseph Resseger, of El Paso, IL., and Pat Dallas, of Elyria, 2 daughters, Rose Ressener, of Lorain, and Cynthia Hale, of Elyria, 8 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.

His parents, Ernest and Myrtle Dallas, preceded him in death.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 5, 2001 from 2-4 and
7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 6, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Rev. Richard Henry Jr., pastor of Amherst Church of the Nazarene, Amherst, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp. The Disabled American Veterans, Louis Paul Proy Chapter 20, of Lorain, will conduct full military honors.
