Frank Burk, 93, Army Veteran

Frank Burk, age 93, of Euclid, died on Friday, January 5, 2001, at Wickliffe Country Place, Wickliffe, OH, following a short illness.

He was born on November 5, 1907 in Yale, Kansas and lived in Fort Smith, Arkansas until moving to Lorain in the late 1920's. In 1941 he moved to Euclid and had resided there since.

He served in the United States Army-Air Corps during World War II. He worked as a supervisor for Chase Brass & Copper in Euclid, for 30 years, retiring in 1970.

He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and tinkering with electronics.

He is survived by his son: Frank D. Burk, of Richmond Heights, OH, daughter: Mrs. Linda Waln, of Alpharetta, GA, 3 grandchildren, 2 sister: Mrs. Rose Novak and Mrs. Kathryn Arthrell, both of Amherst.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years: Helen (nee Pashdevich) in 1996, sisters: Ann Brogan, in 1995, Agnes Brown, in 1991, and Julia Rees, in 1990.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 08, 2001 from 2-4 and from 7-9n p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 9, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Archpriest Basil Stoyka, pastor of St. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, Lorain, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
