LaVern E. Rose, 92, Member of the Delaware Avenue United Methodist Church
LaVern E. Rose age 92 (nee Heimann) of Lorain died on Saturday, January 6, 2001 at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home in Lorain, OH following a long illness.Mrs. Rose was born on March 23, 1908 in Lorain, OH, and resided there all of her life.
She had attended Lorain High School and Lorain Business School. Mrs. Rose had been employed at Higbees and Ryan Caywood Florist.
She was a member of the Delaware Avenue United Methodist Church, AARP, the Senior Center and had been a Poll worker for many years.
Mrs. Rose is survived by her two daughter, Janet Elek of Elyria, and Carol Banes of Lorain, her son Richard Rose, of Lorain 5 grandchildren, and her brother Leonard Heimann of Pinelias Park, FL.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Otto E. Rose on October 10, 1974 her parents Charles and Matilda (nee Grob) Heimann, and a brother: Raymond.
Visitation will be Monday, January 08, 2001 from 7-9 p.m. in the Schwartz, Spence & Boyer Home for Funerals, 1124 5th St., Lorain. Funeral services will be Tuesday January 9, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. in the Schwartz, Spence & Boyer Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th St., Lorain, OH with Rev. J. Dennis Henkle, pastor of Delaware Avenue United Methodist Church officiating.
Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Amherst Twp.
