Helen R. Toothman, 66, Cafeteria Manager
Helen R. Toothman, (nee Miller), age 66, of Lorain, died on Sunday, January 14, 2001, at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center, Lorain, following a sudden illness.She was born on June 25, 1934 in Wheeling, West Virginia, moving to Lorain over 45 years ago.
She was employed by the Lorain Board of Education, as a cafeteria manager for Homewood School, Lorain, for 21 years, retiring in 1993.
She was an active member of Vincent United Methodist Church, Lorain, where she was involved with the United Methodist Women, and the Missions.
She enjoyed painting, woodworking and crafts.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years: James D., son: James Toothman, of Lorain, daughters: Cheryl Davidson and Lisa Toothman, both of Lorain and Patti Seagers, of Columbia Station, 8 grandchildren, brothers: Franklin Miller, of Sullivan, and Ronald Miller of Wellington, sisters: Dorothy Barton, and Mary Bruno, both of Wheeling, WVA, Arlena Parker, of Amherst.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Herbert & Flora (nee Paulus) Miller, brother: Herbert Jr. and sister: Kathryn Auber.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 17, 2001 from 7:00 until time of memorial service at 8:00 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Rev. Christine LaLonde, pastor of Braceville United Methodist Church, Newton Falls, OH, will officiate. Rev. Denise Whitesel, pastor of Vincent United Methodist Church, will co-officiate.
