Regina T. Kaczay, 77, Assembler

Regina T. Kaczay (nee Zarachowicz), age 77, of Elyria, died Monday, January 22, 2001 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain, after a lengthy illness.
Born on April 7, 1923 in Cleveland, Ohio, she graduated from Lincoln High School in 1941. She moved to Elyria in 1950, where she lived for the past 50 years.
She worked as an assembler in the Circuit Board Department at Lorain Products for 20 years, retiring in 1988. Prior to that, she worked in sales for O'Neils in the Sheffield Center.
Regina was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Elyria. She was an avid reader and enjoyed shopping.
She is survived by her husband, Nicholas "Nick" of 50 years; 2 daughters: Dianna Kaczay of Columbus and Denise Kaczay of Elyria; brother, Carmir Sklodowski of Middleburg Hts.; and sister: Lillian Zyweiski of Cleveland.
She is preceded in death by her fathers: Anthony Zarachowicz and William Sklodowski and mother: Vincenta (nee Glowacki); and 4 brothers: Gustav Zarachowicz, Harry Zarachowicz, Theodore Zarachowicz, and Stanley Sklodowski.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 25, 2001 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain, where services will be Friday, January 26, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. followed by mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 41295 North Ridge Rd., Elyria (Rts. 254 & 57). Father James Ols, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
