Anna Donnelly, 95, Seamstress
Anna Donnelly, (nee Riedl), age 95, of Lorain, died on Friday, February 2, 2001 at Community Health Partners Hospital - West, Lorain, following a brief illness.She was born on July 19, 1905 in Austria-Hungary, and came to Lorain from there 94 years ago.
She graduated from Lorain High School in 1924.
She worked as a seamstress for O'Neils later May Company for many years, retiring in 1970.
She was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lorain.
She enjoyed crafts, crossword puzzles, and cards.
She is survived by her son: George Knisely, of Minneapolis, MN, daughters: Betty Biersbach, of Elyria, Patricia Waugh, and Laura Hergatt, both of Lorain, 12 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1964, Edward J. Donnelly, parents: Victor Riedl and Adeline (nee Moga) Riedl, sisters: Hedwig Copeland, Sophie Wargo, Tillie Anthony and grandson: Michael Knisely.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 05, 2001 from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 12:00 p.m., in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Rev. Laurie Miller, pastor of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township, OH.
