Harold S. Beecher, 79, WWII Veteran

Harold S. Beecher, 79 of Lorain died on Sunday evening, February 4, 2001 at Community Health Partners & Surgical Center West Lorain, OH after a brief illness.
Mr. Beecher was born on October 31, 1921 in Lorain, OH and was a lifelong resident. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving during WWII.
He retired in 1983 from USS Steel in Lorain as a tool and die maker.
Mr. Beecher is survived by his wife Margaret (nee Strub) Beecher, his daughter Elizabeth Beecher of Lorain, his three sons, George Beecher of Lorain, Jerry Beecher of Hague, FL and Thomas H. Beecher of Allison Park, PA, 5 grandchildren, his brothers: David Beecher of Brunswick, OH, Miller "Butch" Beecher of Vermilion, OH, Nelson Beecher of Elyria, OH and his sister Ruth Windland of Sandusky, OH.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Harold L. and Alice (nee Stewart) Beecher.
A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. at Schwartz-Spence & Boyer Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th St., Lorain, OH with Rev. Jimmy Madsen, co-pastor of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6th & Washington Ave., Lorain, OH 44052.
