Betty Mae Nitzke, 77, Enjoyed Gardening and Reading
Betty Mae Nitzke, (nee Decker) age 77, of Lorain died on Saturday, March 10, 2001 at Community Health Partners and Surgical Center West in Lorain following a brief illness.Mrs. Nitzke was born on May 17, 1923 in Lorain and lived the majority of her life in the area. She was a graduate of Marion L. Steele High School in Amherst, OH.
Mrs. Nitzke was a member of the Amvets Post #47 Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, reading and crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her daughter, Paula Nitzke of Ukiah, Ca, her son Brad Nitzke of Lorain, 2 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Nitzke is preceded in death by her husband Paul Nitzke on June 17, 1990 and her parents: Charles and Edith (nee Rockwell) Decker, two brothers: Bob and Bill Decker.
There will be no visitation and services will be private at a later date.
