Ward W. Sherck, 88, Pipefitter

Ward W. Sherck, 88, of Lorain died Saturday, March 17, 2001 at Ohio Extended Care Center, following a brief illness.

Mr. Sherck was born November 1, 1912 in Lorain and was a life long resident.

Mr. Sherck was a Pipefitter, working out of the Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 42, Norwalk for 44 years.

He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Lorain.

Survivors include 2 sons: James W. Sherck of Locksburg, Arkansas, and Karl E. Sherck of Amherst, daughter: Delores Edwards of Shalimar FL, 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years. Josephine (nee Walters) August 12, 1985, his parents John and Adeline (nee Moehle) Sherck, a brother Wilbur D. Sherck, and sisters Wynona Widdershiem and Betty Andrews.

The family will receive friends to celebrate the life of Ward on Wednesday, March 21, 2001 from 6-9 p.m. at the Reidy-Scanlan-Chambers Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway, Lorain.

Funeral services will be Thursday, March 21st at the United Church of Christ, 715 Reid Ave., Lorain at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. S. Johnson, Pastor, officiating.

Burial will be at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst, Twp.
