Jeffrey A. Adams, age 43, of Lorain, Died on Wednesday, March 21, 2001 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center, following a lengthy illness.
Born on October 7, 1957 in Lorain, he has been a lifelong resident here. He attended Lorain Catholic High School, where he graduated in 1976. He also had attended Lorain County Community College. He worked as a painter at Spanmaster in Avon for many years before becoming ill. Prior to that he worked as a bowling machine repairman and pinsetter at Rebman Recreation Inc., in Lorain. He also liked to do handyman jobs. Mr. Adams enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, collecting golf balls and vacationing on Kelly's Island frequently.
He is survived by his son: Scott Adams, of Lorain, daughter: Nicole Adams-Garcia, of Lorain, 1 grandson, his father: Lawrence J. Adams, Jr., of Sugarland, Texas; and 3 nieces and 2 nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother: Rosemary Adams (nee Jasinski) in 1994.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 25, 2001 from 2-4p.m. and 7-9p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 26, 2001 at 9:15 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Amherst. Fr. Lawrence Martello, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
