Paul I. Fetter, 65, Operation Engineer
Sheffield Lake - Fetter, Paul I. - 65 of Sheffield Lake, passed away, Monday, March 26, at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center, following a brief illness. Mr. Fetter was born, March 6, 1936 in Dennison, OH and came to Sheffield Lake, as a child. He had worked in the construction industry as an Operation Engineer, retiring from Eckenrode Construction in 1999.He was a member of the Knights of St. John International, Lorain, Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Huron Aerie #2875. Knights of Columbus and a Social Member of the VFW. He enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his dog, Spottie.
His wife Beverly (nee Rickenbach) whom he married August 20, 1966, passed away, August 28, 2000. He is survived by sons, Michael of LaGrange, OH, Thomas of West Palm Beach, FL, James of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Tim of Dafter, MI; daughters Arlene Hardy, of Nantucket, Mass. Deborah Fetter of Myrtle Beach, SC, Diann Harlan-Gray of Chardon, OH and Susan Harlan-Schroeder of Wakeman. Other survivors include 6 grandchildren and a brother John W. Fetter of Boca Raton, FL. Besides his wife; he is preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis (nee Cifranic) who passed away in 1965, brothers Roland and Kenneth and parents, John W. Jr. and Beulah (nee Adams) Fetter.
Friends may call at the BUSCH-BURMEISTER FAMILY CHAPEL, 163 Avon- Belden Rd. Avon Lake, from 6:00-9:00p.m. Thursday, March 29. Funeral Services will be at the funeral home Fri., at 11:00a.m. Pastor Travis Baily of Lake Breeze Church of the Brethren, Sheffield Village, will officiate.
