Arlene M. Todd, 87, Credit Analyst
Arlene M. Todd, (nee Tavenner), 87, of Avon Lake died suddenly Tuesday, April 3, 2001 at her residence.Mrs. Todd was born October 13, 1913 in Springfield, Ohio, living in the Lorain area most of her life.
She was a graduate of Lorain High School, and Oberlin School of Commerce (also known as Oberlin Business College).
Mrs. Todd was a credit analyst, for Sears in Lorain and Elyria for over 20 years, retiring in 1975. Prior to that she worked for the Veterans Administration in Lorain.
She volunteered for 10 years in the gift shop at Community Health Partners Hospital, West.
Loving and devoted mother to her son: William H. Todd, Jr. of Rochester Hills, MI, and 3 daughters: Nancy Todd Turner of Winston-Salem, N.C., Elizabeth A. "Becky" Boals of Elyria, and Linda D. Nagy of Avon Lake, 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren. Cherished and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Henry Todd in 1968, her parents Robert and Ena Tavenner, and a brother Robert H. Tavenner.
Friends may call at the Reidy-Scanlan-Chambers Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway Ave, Lorain on Friday, April 6, 2001 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral service will be Saturday, April 7, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. J. Dennis Henkle, Pastor of the Delaware Avenue United Methodist Church officiating.
Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
