Borka M. Vujosevic, 80, Bingo Baker
Borka M. Vujosevic (nee Jocovic), age 80, of Lorain, died on Wednesday, April 4, 2001 at Community Health Partners Hospital, Lorain, following a 4 month illness.She was born on February 4, 1921 in Pranjani, Serbia. She moved to Cleveland from Serbia in 1957, and has been a Lorain resident since 1979.
She was a member of the St. mark Serbian Orthodox Church, where she also was a member and former president of St. Mark Serbian Ladies Guild. She was also a member of the Eastern Region Diocesan Building Committee. She was a weekly bingo baker and banquet kitchen worker for many years.
Borka enjoyed gardening, her grandchildren and was an avid baker.
She is survived by her husband: Bosko, 2 daughters: Simone Reid and Sandy Garcia, both of Lorain, 3 grandchildren, brother: Slavko Milosevic and sister Kosa Avramovic, both of Pranjani, Serbia and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Sonja Bobel, in 1993, parents Radic and Ljubinka (nee Simovic) Jocovic, and 3 brothers: Milenk, Miloje and Dragoslav Milosevic.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 8, 2001 at St. Mark Serbian Orthodox Church, 1434 Lake Breeze Road, Sheffield Village, Ohio from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 12:00 Noon. Rev. Fr. Leontije Alavanja, pastor of St. Mark Serbian Orthodox Church, Very Rev. Djuro Majorle, pastor of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, Broadview Heights, Rev. Milovan Korach, pastor of St. Demetrius Serbian Orthodox Church, Akron, and Rev. Zivko Popovich will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Marks Cemetery, Sheffield Village, Ohio.
