Veronica "Vernie" Udovich, (nee Rusinko) age 87, of Lorain died Wednesday April 4, 2001 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center following a brief illness.She was born April 22, 1913 in Lorain and has been a life-long resident of the city.
A long time parishioner of Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church (Lorain), her hobbies included flower and vegetable gardening as well as participating in taking bus trips.
She is survived by her daughter: Gloria Knipper of Lorain, sons: Vernon J. of Elyria and Lindsay A. of San Diego, California, 3 grandchildren, and 1 great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Joseph in 1996, parents: Michael and Anna (nee Luca) Rusinko, sisters: Mary Hiznay, Anna Yourkvitich, Pauline Hudy, and by brothers: George Rusinko, Michael Rusine, and John Rusine.
Private family services will be held in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
