Nellie Bahn, 75, Accomplished Bowler

Nellie Bahn (nee Dudukovich) age 75, of Lorain died Thursday, April 5, 2001 at the New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph following an illness of seven months.

She was born November 11, 1925 in Lorain and had been a life-long resident of the city.

Mrs. Bahn was a long-time member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church (Lorain), as well as a member of the National Association of Retired Veteran Railway Employees.

An accomplished bowler, she was a member of the Womens Bowling Congress. Well known for throwing a "back-up ball", she was inducted into the "600 Club" for series average. She was a receipt of numerous awards and recognitions for her participation and achievements in area tournaments.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years: Julius, by sons, Jerry Bahn of Lorain and Chip Bahn of Lewis Center, Ohio, a daughter, Sandy Bahn of Lorain, six grandchildren, 1 great grand-daughter, by brothers: Bob Dudukovich of Parma, and Bill Dudukovich of Lorain, and sisters: Mary Williams and Blanche Dudukovich both of Lorain.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, by her parents: Nickola and Anna Dudukovich, and by brothers: Nickola, Jr., Sam, and Don Dudukovich.

Friends may call Sunday, April 8, 2001 from 2-5 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain where a Pomen service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Monday, April 9, 2001 beginning at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel and will be immediately followed by her funeral liturgy at 12:00 Noon in St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, 2210 East 33rd Street, Lorain. The Rev. Milorad Orlich, pastor of the church will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.

The family suggests memorials in her memory to either the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Boulevard, Suite #1010, Rockville, MD 20852 or to St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, 2210 East 33rd Street, Lorain, Ohio 44055.
