Queena mae Eminian, 79, Nurse

Queena Mae Eminian, age 79, of Avon Lake and Largo, FL, passed away, Thursday, April 5, 2001 at Suncoast Hospital, Largo, FL following a brief illness.

Mrs. Eminian was born December 6, 1921 in Elyria and had lived in Avon Lake since 1952. She had wintered in Florida for the past 18 years.

Mrs. Eminian worked as a public health care nurse for Lorain County for 10 years and retired in 1980. She was an active member of the Avon Lake United Church of Christ, and in Largo, the Chapel Hill United Church of Christ. She was once named distinguished women of the year in Avon Lake and was active in many Avon Lake Civic and Social organization. She enjoyed reading, gardening and travel.

Mrs. Eminian's husband of 52 years, Muger, passed away in 1997. She is survived by a son Kenneth A. Sr., of Avon Lake, a sister Opal Sparr of Elyria and 2 grandsons, Kenneth Jr. and Brandon Scott Eminian. Besides her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

Friends may call at the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, 163 Avon-Belden Road, Avon Lake from 7-9 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2001 and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2001. Funeral services will be at the Avon lake United Church of Christ, 32801 Electric Blvd., Avon lake, Wednesday, April 11, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Ridge Hill memorial Park, Amherst.
