Clarence G. Hall, 86, Lubrication Product Company Owner

Clarence G. Hall, age 86, of Lorain, died Thursday, April 12, 2001 at Specialty Hospital of Lorain following a brief illness.

Clarence was born on September 21, 1914 in Raccoon, PA. He lived in Cleveland prior to moving to Lorain and has been a resident of the past 57 years. He graduated from Burgettstown High School, Burgettstown, PA in 1932.

Mr. Hall was a World War II veteran of the Untied States Army, and attained rank of Technical Sergeant. He was involved with battles I Northern France, Rhineland, Central Europe, and Ardennes, receiving the European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Ribbon, and the Purple Heart.

He was the owner and operator of Lubrication Product Company of Ohio, Cleveland, retiring in 1999. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Lorain at one time serving at a Deacon, then Elder, and served on the building commission. His hobbies included golfing, crossword puzzles, reading, and carpentry.

He is survived by a son, Robert, of Kingwood, TX; daughter, Jane Koker, of Sheffield Lake, 6 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Anna Marie (nee Zabrusky) Hall, who past away on April 1, 2001; parents, Austin E. and Stella (nee Cooley) Hall; 2 brothers: Donald and James Hall; and 2 sisters: Emo Jean Hall, and Betty Hart.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 14, 2001 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Rev. James E. Smucker pastor of Heritage Presbyterian Church, Lorain will officiate. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp. The Disabled American Veterans, Louis Paul Proy, Chapter 20 will conduct full military honors.
