Richard W. Greenfield, 62, Foreman, Ford Motor Company
Richard W. Greenfield Sr., age 62 of Lorain, died Saturday, April 14, 2001 at his residence following a lengthy illness.Born on January 21, 1939 in Lorain he graduated from Clearview High School in 1958.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
Richard worked as a Foreman in the Body Repair Department of the Lorain Ford Motor Plant until he left in 1975 after 13 years of service.
He was a member of Lorain AMVETS Post #47 and the American Slovak Club, Lorain. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, the lake, sightseeing, and was a pinball wizard.
He is survived by his 3 sons, Brian of Tustin, CA, Richard, Jr. and Mike both of Lorain, daughter: Robin Ceniceros of Stockton, CA; 5 grandchildren; brother, Ron of Elyria and sister: Carrie Rose of Lorain.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Carl and Helen (nee Marten) Greenfield.
Friends may gather at the Veterans Memorial Park, W. Erie and Washington Avenues, Lorain on Thursday, April 19, 2001 from 5-6 p.m. Full military honors will be provided at 6 p.m. by the AMVETS Post #47. Arrangements were made by the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain.
Contributions may be made in his memory to a memorial fund to be established in his honor in care of the Dovin Funeral Home.
