Duane A. Patterson, 38, Bodyman

Duane A. Patterson, age 38, of Sheffield Lake passed away, Tuesday, April 17, 2001 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center, Lorain following complications of Diabetes.

Mr. Patterson was born November 14, 1962 in Bay Village and had lived his entire life in Sheffield Lake. He was a certified Bodyman with Ed Stinn Chevrolet and continued to work until he was no longer able to due to his health. He attended Brookside High School, went on to earn his GED and then Graduated from the Electronic Technical Engineering School, Cleveland.

Mr. Patterson was a member of the First Baptist Church, Sheffield Lake. He was a sports fan, playing football while in high school. He owned and rode motorcycles; he like old cars and collected die cast model cars.

His mother, Juanita (Balew) of Sheffield Lake, brother, Danny of Amherst and sister, Shrilly Kurosaki of Lorain, survives Mr. Patterson. Other survivors include 3 nephews and a niece. Besides his father, Lewis Patterson, Duane is preceded in death by a brother Raymond who passed away as a toddler and a sister Kimberley who passed away as an infant.

Friends may call at the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, 163 Avon-Belden Road, Avon Lake, form 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, April 20, 2001. All services will be at the First Baptist Church of Sheffield Lake, 633 Harris Road, on Saturday, April 21, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Billy Cooper, former pastor of the church and family friend will officiate. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memory Garden.
