Wilbur L. Meck, 88, U.S. Mail Carrier
Wilbur L. Meck, 88, of Lorain died Tuesday, April 17, 2001 at Community Health Partners Hospital emergency Room following a short illness.Mr. Meck was an U.S. Mail Carrier for 36 years.
He was a member of National Association of Letter Carriers for 60 years. He was a member of St. Mary Church in Lorain.
Survivors include 1 daughter, Carol Meck of Missoula, Montana, 4 sons: James Meck of Avon Lake, Richard Meck of Lorain, Donald Meck of Atlanta Georgia and Charles Meck of Westerville, 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, sister, Kathryn Thomas of Troy, OH, sister in law, Bernice Greenwitt of Lorain, loving and cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Eunice (nee Wagner) Meck , and his parents Charles and Luena (nee Schneider) Meck.
Friends may call at Reidy-Scanlan-Chambers Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway, Lorain on Friday, April 20, 2001 from 4-8 p.m.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 21, 2001 at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Church, with the Rev. Daniel O. Divis, Pastor, officiating.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
