Larry Robert Brucker, 58, Supervisor - Ford Motor Co.
Larry Robert Brucker, 58, of Lorain died on Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at Community Health Partners West in Lorain, following an 8 year battle with leukemia and lymphoma.Mr. Brucker was born on April 7, 1943 in Norwalk, OH and graduated from Western Reserve High School. He has lived in Lorain for the past 23 years and was a member of the Heritage Presbyterian Church, where he served as an Elder. He retired as a supervisor from Ford Motor Corp., Avon Lake and had worked part-time as a chemical tester for Betz-Dearborn.
Mr. Brucker was an avid Nascar Racing Fan. He was a staunch Dale Ernhardt fan, traveling to the Daytona 500 for 25 years to support "his" racer. He was in attendance in this year's race when Mr. Ernhardt was killed. He was also a classic car enthusiast.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years: Patricia A. (nee Beachler) Brucker, his two daughters: Kimberly (Brucker) Bendillo of Columbia, SC, Teri (Brucker) Kanicki of Enterprize AL, son: Jeff Brucker of Glendale, AR, his parents: Robert and Eileen (nee Barnes) Brucker of Wakeman, OH, step-daughters: Sharleene (Sivnksty) Baugus of Harrison Township, MI, Denise Sivnksty of Atlanta, GA and 9 grandchildren and sister, Roberta Core of Dublin, OH.
Mr. Brucker is preceded in death by his step-daughter Carla Sivnksty.
Friends may call at Schwartz-Spence & Boyer Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, OH on Saturday, April 21, 2001 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on April 23, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at Heritage Presbyterian Church, North in Lorain, OH with Rev. James E. Smucker, pastor officiating.
Burial will be in the Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Amherst Township.
