Madeline P. Cocuzzi, 81, Enjoyed Gardening

Madeline P. Cocuzzi, age 81, of Lorain, died Friday, April 20, 2001 at her home after a lengthy illness.

She was born July 7, 1919 in Midland Pennsylvania and had resided in Lorain since 1942 moving from Warren, Ohio.

Mrs. Cocuzzi was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter in Lorain and the church Holy Name Society. She was a volunteer at Autumn Aegis Nursing Home in Lorain and a member of the Lorain Post Retiree's Club. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and making photo albums.

She is survived by her daughter Patricia Bazar of Amherst, sons David A. Cocuzzi of Westerville, Ohio and Roland T. Cocuzzi of Phoenix, Arizona; 6 grandchildren; sisters Viola De Tano and Jane Scott and brother Eugene Nolfi. She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony on December 28, 1998, parents Dominick and Rose (nee Castrucci) Nolfi, sisters Mary Nolfi and Helen Cardarelli and brother Frank Nolfi.

Friends may call Wednesday, April 25, 2001 from 3-7 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 26, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. at the Wolnowski, pastor, will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Resurrection Crypt at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
