Lorraine A. Northeim, 53, Marketing Representative

Born March 31, 1948 in Lorain, she has lived here her entire life.

Lorraine graduated from Admiral King High School in 1966. She attended Lorain County Community College where she received the Business Student of the Year award. She graduated Summa cum Laude from Ashland College with a degree in marketing and in management.

For the past three years, Lorraine worked at American Greetings in Cleveland, as a marketing representative.

She was a member of the Church of St. Peter, Lorain, Toast Masters, and had been active in student affairs with Lake Ridge Academy. She also volunteered with fundraising with the United Way, and volunteered at the Lorain Public Library Main Branch, with Project Life, an adult literacy-training program. She headed a local investment club, enjoyed nature and fitness.

Surviving is her husband of 29 years, Robert; son, Justin, of Lorain; Stepmother, Carol Possy, of Lorain; a brother, Ron Possy of Lorain; and a sister Sharon Schweinberg, of Vermilion.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary (nee Paghi) Possy, paternal grandparents, Anna and Nick Posvenchuk, and maternal grandparents Dan and Mary Paghi.

A private memorial service for family and friends will be held at a later date. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain is handling the arrangements.
