Agnes "Sue" J. Schuster, 83, Enjoyed Collecting Baskets

Agnes "Sue" J. Schuster (nee Sullivan), 83, of Avon Lake passed away Friday, April 27 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center, Lorain following a lengthy illness (cancer).

She was born May 10, 1917 in Elyria and moved to Avon Lake 51 years ago, coming from North Ridgeville where she graduated from High School in 1935. She worked at the Ridge Locker Plant in North Ridgeville before becoming a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Avon Lake. She enjoyed collecting baskets and wooden spools, gardening, playing the organ and cards and drawing and painting.

She is survived by her son Edmund W. of Nashua, New Hampshire, three sisters, Florence Reising of Avon, Margaret "Pet" Sullivan and Theresa Sullivan both of North Ridgeville; a brother, Jim Sullivan of Avon and nieces and nephews. Mrs. Schuster was preceded in death by her husband Edmund L. in 1991.

Friends may call at the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, 163 Avon-Beldon Road, Avon from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, April 29, 2001. Prayer services will be held at the funeral home Monday, April 30, 2001 at 9:00 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church, 32929 Lake Road, Avon Lake at 9:30 a.m. Fr. James H. Beatty will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Avon.
