Betty A. Gailey, 68, Assembler
Betty A. (nee Rowland) Gailey, 68 of Amherst died on Tuesday, May 1, 2001 in her home following a brief illness.Mrs. Gailey was born on March 9, 1933 in Vincent, Ohio and was a resident of the area since she was 10 years old. She was a graduate of Clearview High School and was a member of the Family Fellowship Foursquare Gospel Church in Amherst. She was retired from Gifford Industries in Oberlin as an assembler.
She enjoyed baking, Jamie's Flea market, antiques, garage sales, flowers, wall papering, decorating and enjoyed her cats.
Mrs. Gailey is survived by her two sons, Jim Gailey of Amherst and Bob Gailey of Grand Terrace, CA, one grandchild, 4 great-grandchildren, and her brother Bill Rowland of Avon Lake and 5 nieces and one nephew.
She is preceded in death by her father Denver Rowland on June 10, 1987 and her mother Ola (nee Scott) Rowland on November 24, 1991.
Friends may call at Schwartz-Spence & Boyer Home for Funerals, 1124 5th Street, Lorain on Friday, May 4, 2001 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on May 5, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at Family Fellowship Foursquare Gospel Church, 780 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, OH with Rev. Myrtle Eppler, minister tot he Seniors officiating.
Betty A. Gailey will be buried at Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Amherst Twp.
