Mabel McElroy, 76, Inspector

Mabel McElroy (nee Muhlbach) age 76, of Lorain died Friday, May 4, 2001, at the New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph following a brief illness.

She was born February 8, 1925 in Caldwell, Ohio and had been a resident of Lorain since 1952 coming from Caldwell.

She was a graduate of Caldwell High School and had been employed as an inspector at the Moen Corporation in Elyria for more than 36 years; she retired from the company in 1987.

Mrs. McElroy attended Fellowship Baptist Church in Lorain. A devoted lover of small animals, her hobbies include gardening and travel.

Survivors include her sons: Jeffrey of Grafton and Mark of Lorain, along with three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: Clinton in 1984 by her parents: Herman and Pearl (nee Warren) Muhlbach and by a brother Kenneth.

Friends may call Sunday, May 6, 2001 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. Funeral services will be Monday, May 7, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Jack Ison, pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
