Kelli L. Vicens, 17, Graduate of Admiral King High School

Kelli Lynn Vicens, age 17, of Lorain, died, Tuesday, May 15, 2001, in her home, following a lengthy illness, under the care of the Cleveland Clinic Hospital, with the assistance of Western Reserve Hospice.

Miss Vicens was born June 5, 1983, in Lorain and has been a life-long resident. She was a 2001 graduate of Admiral King High School. She worked at TJ MAXX as a sales associate for 6 months. She was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain.

Kelli was able to spend a weekend with Olivia Newton John, made available through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. She enjoyed shopping, baby-sitting, and collecting angels and classic sitcom memorabilia.

She is survived by her parents, Jaime and Kimberly (nee Salisbury) Vicens; brother, James, at home; Paternal Grandparents: Prudo and Otilia Vicens, of Lorain; Maternal Grandmother, Terry Salisbury, of Lorain; and several aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Junior Ray Salisbury, in 1982.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 18, 2001, from 7-9 p.m., in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. The family will also receive friends on Saturday, May 19 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 9:30 a.m., at Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain. Rev. William Thaden, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
