John C. Smith, 71, Worked in Pipe Mill
John C. Smith of Lorain passed away Friday, June 1, 2001 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph following a brief illness.He was born, May 9, 1930 in Lorain and has been a life long resident of Lorain.
Mr. Smith was employed in the Pipe Mill of Nation Tube Co., now US Steel. He enjoyed gardening.
Mr. Smith is survived by his brothers, Robert of Lorain and Thomas of Bowling Green, KY and sister, Laura Rubright of Florence, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lucy Smith and sisters, Eleanor Smith and Betty Morog.
A graveside service will be Monday, June 4, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp. Rev. Chris E. Hughes will officiate.
