Marion L. Weiss, 87, Member of the Chi Omega Sorority

Marion L. Weiss, 87, of Avon Lake, formerly of Boston Massachusetts, died Sunday, June 17, 2001 at Bradley Bay Health Center, Bay Village. She was born November 10, 1913 in Boston, Massachusetts and moved to the area 80 years ago. Marion attended Denison University, Granville, Ohio where she was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by a son, Dana F. Weiss of Rockwall, Texas; a daughter, Roberta L. Knapp of Columbus, Ohio; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren; a brother, Chester Varney of Avon Lake. Her husband, Frederick J. Weiss, a brother, Robert Varney, and her parents, Chester and Louise (nee Becherer) Varney preceded her in death.

At the request of the family there will be no visitation. Private family graveside services will be held at Lakewood Park Cemetery, Rocky River.
