Willie B. Price Sr., 71

Willie B. Price, Sr., age 71, of Lorain, died on Friday, June 22, 2001 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain, following a lingering illness.

He was born on March 16, 1930 in Albany, Georgia, and moved to Lorain in 1948. He worked most of his life in the construction business. He had also owned and operated Price's Junk Yard, Lorain, from 1975-1992. He was a member of the Iron Stallions and Easy Rider's Motorcycle Clubs.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years: Mary Ann (nee Short); 4 sons: Willie B. Price, of Lucasville, OH; Willie E. Price, of Detroit, MI; Brian Price and Willie Lovelace, both of Lorain; 7 daughters: Lisa Johnson, Monique Price, Darlene Phelps, Nicole Price, Detania Jackson, Aretha Cummings, and Christine Lovelace, all of Lorain; 19 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 3 brothers: Oscar Price, of Lorain; Woodrow Smith and J.W. Smith, both of Florida; and sisters: Margie and Helen Smith, both of Florida; and Dorothy Anderson of Toledo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Williebelle (nee Owen) Price; sons: Robert Price and Joseph Ulmer; and daughters: Stacy Price and Angelic Price.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 27, 2001 at 7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain. Deacon Luis Maldonado of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Lorain will officiate.
