Ruth Ann Hlavaty, 75, Enjoyed Sewing and Crafts

Ruth Ann Hlavaty (nee Kelleman), age 75, of Avon Lake passed away Saturday, June 30, 2001 at Lake County West Hospital of cancer.

Mrs. Hlavaty was born February 28, 1926 in Cleveland and has lived in Avon Lake for the past 41 years. She had worked for both the New York Central and Pennsylvania Railroads for over 25 years. She was a member of the Avon Lake Garden Club and the National Railroad Women's Association. She was described by her family as very creative, having interests in sewing, arts and crafts.

Her husband, Robert J. of 50 years passes away in 1997. She is survived by a son Ted (Janice) Hlavaty of Kirtland and a brother Robert Kelleman of Olmsted Twp. Besides her husband, she is preceded in death by a sister Elynore Costaney and parents, John and Marie (nee Bodell) Kelleman.

All services at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 32929 Lake Road, Avon Lake where the Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, July 5 at 10:30 a.m. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
