Nancy Arlene Knick, 74, Enjoyed Playing Bingo

Nancy Arlene Knick (nee Reid), 74 years of age, and a resident of Lorain, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2001 at Ohio Extended Care, Lorain, following a lengthy illness.

She was born June 20, 1927 in Richmond, VA where she was raised and lived until coming back to Lorain in 1963. She was a resident of Vermilion for seven years before moving back to Lorain six years ago.

She was a member of the Good Shepherd Baptist Church, Amherst. Nancy enjoyed playing bingo and traveling.

Survivors include her sons: Ralph and Kenny Knick, both of Lorain and Robert Knick of Vermilion; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; her brother Bill Reid of Virginia; and sisters: Dorothy Beckman of Maryland and Mary Entsminger of Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years: Herman Clyde Knick in January 2000; son: Rodney Knick in July 2001; her parents: Hubert John and Ressa (nee Frances) Reid; and sister: Mildred Shorter.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 12, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township. Hempel Funeral Home, Amherst, has been entrusted with final arrangements.
