Patricia L. Carson, 68, Enjoyed Traveling
Patricia L. Carson (nee Lavish), 68, of Lorain, died Friday, July 27, 2001 at Hudson Elms Nursing Home, Hudson, Ohio, following a lengthy illness.Born September 7, 1932 in Lorain, she was a life long resident here. She graduated from Lorain High School in the class of 1950 B and sang in the A Cappella Choir there.
She was a member of the Church of St. Peter, Lorain, where she formerly helped in the school cafeteria and at parish picnics. She was also a member of St. Ann' Lodge #114 of the first Slovak Ladies Union.
She enjoyed her grandchildren, needlepoint, and embroidery. She also enjoyed taking day trips and traveling with her late husband, Victor.
Surviving are her daughters, Mrs. Deborah Zilka, of Lorain and Michele Carson, of Stow and 2 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Victor, in 1998; her parents Paul Lavish in 1991 and Anna (nee Gula) Lavish in 1993.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 29 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be held on Monday, July 30, 2001 at 9:30 a.m., followed by mass at the Church of St. Peter at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Fr. Kenneth Wolnowski, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
