Edna Madelyn Swaim, 79, Hostess/Waitress
Edna Madelyn Swaim, 79, of Lorain died Tuesday, August 7, 2001 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph following a brief illness.She was born May 22, 1922 in Lorain and was a life long resident. She worked at the Avon Oaks Country Club for 12 years as a hostess and waitress. She is a member of the Christ United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Swaim is survived by her son: Scott Swaim of Lorain; daughters: Pamela McCartney, Debbie Vrabel, Gayle Swaim, and Cindy Swaim all of Lorain, 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Dale L. Swaim in 1991, parents Thamar and Ida Mae Love, sister, Agnes Parrish and brother Aaron Benson.
Friends may call at the Reichlin-Cooley Funeral Home, 2920 Broadway Ave., Lorain, on Thursday August 9, 2001 from 4-8 p.m. Services will be held at Christ United Methodist Church, 3015 Meister Road, Lorain on Friday, August 10, 2001 at 10 a.m. Rev. John Gross will officiate. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
