Edna Madelyn Swaim, 79, Enjoyed Bowling
Edna Madelyn Swaim, 79, of Lorain, died Tuesday, August 07, 2001 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph following a brief illness. She was born May 22, 1922 in Lorain and was a lifelong resident.
She worked a hostess/waitress at Avon Oaks Country Club for about 12 years. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Lorain. Edna enjoyed bowling, walking, gardening, crossword puzzles, and golfing.
She is survived by her son: Scott Swaim of Lorain; daughters: Pamela McCartney, Debbie Vrabel, Gayle Swaim, and Cindy Swaim all of Lorain; 12 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Dale L. Swaim in 1991; parents: Thamar and Ida Mae Love; sister: Agnes Parrish; and brother: Aaron Benson.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday, August 9, 2001 from 4 - 8 p.m. at Reichlin-Cooley Funeral Home, 2920 Broadway, Lorain. The funeral will be held on Friday, August 10, 2001. Interment will be at Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
