Gregory S. Gdovin, 59, Pressman
Gregory S. Gdovin, age 59, of Westlake, died on Tuesday, August 7, 2001 at his residence while under the care of Hospice of Western Reserve, following a lengthy illness.He was born on March 1, 1942 in Cleveland. He graduated from Rocky River High School in 1960.
He served in the United States Army in Germany and Arizona from1 962 to 1965. He was employed as a pressman at Avery Label in Cleveland for 31 years. He was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church, Rocky River.
He is survived by his sons: Robert, of LaGrange and Gregory of Greenbank, WA, 1 granddaughter, brothers: Thomas of Westlake, and David of Columbia, SC and two sisters: Bernice Pachinger, of Westlake, and Christine Gallagher of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents: mother, Margaret (nee Slavik) in 1984 and father Stephen Gdovin in 1999 and sister, Patricia Davis in 1983.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 12, 2001 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. in Zeis McGreevey Funeral Home, 16105 Detroit Road, Lakewood where services will be held on Monday, August 13, 2001 at 9:00 a.m. in the funeral home followed by 9:30 a.m. Mass at St. Christopher Catholic Church, Rocky River. Burial will follow in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio.
