Noel R. Knight, 64, Truck Driver

Born March 13, 1937 in West Pike Run Township, PA. He moved to New Jersey after his honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps. He was a resident of Elyria for the past 32 years.

Noel was a self-employed truck driver working for Rossborough manufacturing Co. in Avon Lake. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War and was a member of the Elyria Eagles and the Elyria Elks. He enjoyed golf.

Survivors include his daughter: Rhonda Blair of Elyria, his stepsons: Douglas Doss and Matthew Doss both of Elyria; his step daughter: Pamela Zak of Elyria; his three grandchildren, Ashley Taulbee, Dustin Taulbee and Gage Blair; his mother: Mrs. Josephine (nee Beal) Knight of PA; his brothers, Francis Knight of PA; Phillip Knight of MD; his sisters: Helen Fox of NJ, Sharon Elinich of PA, Judy Fudala of PA and Eunice Currie of FL.

He was preceded in death by wife Dorothy (nee Baber) Doss Knight in 1996; his father: John L. Knight and his brother Paul Knight.

Friends may call Friday, August 10, 2001 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Avenue, Amherst. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 11, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. from the funeral home. The Rev. Peter Kerlin, pastor of Old Stone United Methoidst Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery.
