Mary Frances Celeste Bannerman, 74, Enjoyed Gardening

Mary Frances Celeste Bannerman (nee DeCamp), 74, of Avon Lake, died Saturday, September 1, 2001 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home following a lengthy illness. She was born March 26, 1927 in Dayton, Ohio and moved to Avon Lake from Lakewood fifty-one years ago. Mary Frances was employed as an inspector for USS Kolbe Steel, Lorain before retiring. She was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, Bay Village where she served as an organist for many years. She also taught piano and was active in a number of community groups in Avon Lake. She enjoyed gardening.

Mrs. Bannerman is survived by a son: David Bannerman of Dayton; three daughters: Barbara Anne Bannerman of Parma, Diane Scranton of Worthington, OH, and Beth Somerset, OH; four grandchildren: Allison, Sarah, Will and Jennifer; sister: Muriel "Tess" Wurzburg of Somers, NY.

She was preceded in death by a brother: David DeCamp; sister: Joanna McMillen and her parents: Herbert Carlisle and Edna (nee Seymour) DeCamp.

A memorial service will be held at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 468 Bradley Rd., Bay Village on Friday, September 7, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. Private committal services will be held following cremation by Busch Crematory. Arrangements handled by the BUSCH-BURMEISTER FAMILY CHAPEL, 163 Avon-Belden Rd., Avon Lake.
