Ruth Helen Hertrick Paradis, 70, Enjoyed Golfing and Ballroom Dancing
Ruth Helen Hertrick Paradis, 70, of Avon and formerly of Sheffield Lake, died Saturday, September 1, 2001 at her daughter's home in Amherst following a shot illness. She was born August 2, 1931 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and moved to Avon five years ago coming from Sheffield Lake, where she resided for thirty years. Ruth was employed as a server at the Fairway Lounge at the Aquamarine Resort in Avon Lake. She was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Avon Lake and enjoyed golfing and ballroom dancing.Mrs. Paradis is survived by two sons: Danial Hertrick of Milan, OH and Mark Hertrick of Amherst; two daughters: Cathleen Futrall of Amherst and Sandra Schwenzer of Mayfield Heights; three step-sons: David, James and Robert Paradis; step-daughter: Kathleen Paradis; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and eleven nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Brain Paradis in 1990; brother: Richard Schwerer; sister: Gretchan Hinda; and parents: Theodore and Helen (nee Hermann) Schwerer.
Friends may call at the BUSCH-BURMEISTER FAMILY CHAPEL, 163 Avon-Belden Road, Avon Lake from 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday. Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesady, September 4, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Lynn Schlessman, pastor of Evangelical Lutheran Church, Avon Lake will officiate. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
