Gloria Lopez, 58, Enjoyed Crocheting and Cooking

Gloria Lopez, 58, of Lorain, died Tuesday, September 4, 2001 at her residence while under the care of New Life Hospice.

She was born on August 15, 1943 in Lares, Puerto Rico. Her family moved to Camden, NJ while she was a youngster and then to Lorain in 1970.

Gloria was an active member of Templo Emmanuel de las Asambleas de Dios. She enjoyed crocheting and cooking.

She is survived by her two sons: Alberto of Cleveland and Jimmy of Lorain; 4 daughters: Carmen Torres, Elizabeth Lopez, Epifania Santiago, all of Lorain and Evelyn Quiles of Sidra, Puerto Rico; 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandchildren; 3 brothers: Jose of Lorain, Ricky of Indianapolis, IN, and Zenon of Vermilion; and 3 sisters: Virginia Torres, Elsa Lopez, both of Lorain, and Maria Baez of Hartford, Conn.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 26 years: Juan l. in 1985 and parents: Jose and Justina (nee Acevedo) Lopez.

The family will receive new friends on Thursday, September 6, 2001 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. conducted by Rev. Pedro Juan Gonzalez, former Pastor of Templo Emmanuel. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 7, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Rev. Daniel Reyes, Pastor of Templo Emmanuel, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
