Mary L. Dineff, 71, Enjoyed Traveling

Mary L. "Toots" Dineff (nee Madalla), 71, of Lorain, died Saturday, September 8, 2001 at Community Health Partners Hospital following a sudden illness.

She was born August 15, 1930 in Lorain, where she has been a lifelong resident. She graduated from Lorain High School in 1948.

Toots was employed as a secretary in the Social Services Department of St. Joseph Hospital, Lorain for 15 years, retiring in 1990.

An active member of the Church of St. Peter, Lorain, she also did work with St. Francis of Assisi Mission Group of ST. Peter's Church.

She enjoyed traveling and dearly loved the ocean.

She is survived by her 1 son: Greg of Lorain; 1 daughter: Laura Collins of Hobart, IN; 2 grandsons; 1 granddaughter; and 1 great grandson.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 1/2 years: Steve on March 8, 2001; her father: John Madella in 1947; mother: Louise (nee Petrillo) Medalla in 1969; and sister: Jean F. Pena on December 29, 2000.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 10, 2001 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Friends may gather at the Church of St. Peter on Tuesday, September 11, 2001 for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Ken Wolnowski, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
