Carlos Manuel "Beanie" Rosario, 46, Avid Sports Fan
Carlos Manuel "Beanie" Rosario, age 46, of Lorain died Thursday, September 20, 2001 in the Critical Care Unite of Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center following an illness of five days.He was born September 7, 1955 in Lorain and was a life-long resident of the city, Mr. Rosario was a 1974 graduate of Lorain Southview High School.
He was employed in the central labor division of U.S. Steel's Lorain Works from 1974 through 1982. He was later employed at the McDonalds Restaurant on Colorado Avenue from 1984 through 1987. An avid sports fan, he was an ardent follower of the Cleveland Brown, Indians, and Cavaliers sports teams. He also enjoyed 1970's disco music. A lover of dogs, he enjoyed the companionship of his pet Dalmation: Domino as well as that of his mixed terrier: Sally.
He is survived by his mother: Manuela (nee Diaz) of Lorain, brother: Eusebio Rosario Jr., at home, sisters: Susan Sciulli of Sheffield Lake, Carol Bires of Amherst, Jeannette Walker, Nancy Sheaves, and Sonia Rosario all of Lorain, along with many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Eusebio Rosario, Sr., in 1993.
Friends may call Sunday, September 23, 2001 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. Funeral services will be Monday, September 24, 2001 beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel and will be followed by his funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. John Roman Catholic Church, Grove Avenue and Homewood Drive. The Rev. Thomas R. Smith, pastor of the church will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
