Ruth Eleanore Thompson, 74, Sunday School Teacher

Born April 21, 1927, in Lorain, where she was raised, and graduated from Lorain High School with the class of 1945B. After high school, she lived in California until 1994 when she moved to Amherst.

She was employed by the Minnie McGuire Management Co. as an office manager for many years. She was a Sunday school teacher at the Beverly Hills Presbyterian Church in California.

Survivors include her sisters: Ethel Pullin of New London and Margie Thompson of Sheffield Lake; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: John W. and Grace Lillian (nee White) Thompson; an sisters: Marion Morris in 1988, Lillian Schall in 1990, and Alice Thompson in 1996.

Services were held privately by the family. The Rev. Peter Kerlin, pastor of Old Stone United Methodist Church, Amherst officiated. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.

Hempel Funeral Home, Amherst, has been entrusted with the final arrangements.
